In this case study:
Meet the client
This client is an institutional investment platform established to bridge the gap between illiquid asset classes, often with high barriers to entry, and institutional investors seeking to deploy capital into investment-grade, income-generating assets. The organisation has grown to more than 140 full-time staff across its operational platform, and Reflective IT has worked with the client from inception through several office moves, supporting rapid growth alongside multiple compliance and risk management exercises.
The challenge: keeping continuity plans investor ready

Early in the relationship, investor due diligence highlighted a need to update the client’s existing business continuity plan. With no single, comprehensive record of the business’s technical environment, the client needed detailed documentation of all key systems and technology usage to satisfy investor scrutiny and give the board confidence in the organisation’s resilience as it continued to grow.
What we did: mapping, assessing, and planning for recovery
Reflective IT was engaged to compile a comprehensive IT manual detailing all key technical information, IT systems, and usage across the business. Every technology was risk assessed, with business impact analysis carried out to understand the true cost of disruption. From this, an up-to-date Disaster Recovery plan and Business Continuity plan were developed and presented to the board, with new technologies identified to support the agreed recovery time objectives.
The solution: ongoing testing and ‘ready for anything’ documentation
Reflective IT now conducts annual testing and reviews, with all documentation kept updated and readily available for due diligence carried out by internal or external parties. This ongoing cycle means the client’s recovery plans stay current and fit for purpose as the business, and the risks it faces, continue to evolve.
The impact: confidence through every stage of growth
With limited internal IT resource, the client now has full confidence in its disaster recovery and business continuity readiness, supported with minimal interruption to day-to-day operations. Investor due diligence requirements are met consistently, and the board has ongoing assurance that recovery plans are current, tested, and fit for purpose as the business continues to scale.

“Reflective IT provide a professional and cost effective service that offers us peace of mind. We have total confidence in their abilities and knowledge of our business, and with little internal resource they support us fully with minimal interruption to our business. I would certainly consider them a key partner, and we place a great deal of trust in the relationship we have with them.”
